Sizing Considerations

The size and shape of Freight Platform Lift should be determined by the dimensions of goods to be carried and by the loading / unloading methods used. Select platform dimensions which will best fulfill your requirements and add the peripheral dimensions contained in the charts in the Sample Drawings Section to determine total hoistway size. The minimum capacity rating should be equal to 550 lbs. (250 kg) per square meter of platform area. And, of course, the actual rating must equal the maximum gross weight the elevator will be expected to carry under peak loading conditions.
