Factual data proving the
efficacy of this outstanding cushion
Pressure mapping gives an exact
visual representation of the degree of pressure relief
achieved by a particular cushion. If the interface
pressure is low enough, the skin and tissue will receive
adequate blood flow and pressure sores can be avoided.
If the pressure is too high, even for a very short
period of time per the Kosiac study, you are at risk of
developing a sore.
The degree of pressure needed to
achieve true pressure relief is 30 mmHg. A pressure less
than 30 is even better. We let the pressure maps speak
for themselves.
These are pressure maps taken while
patients were sitting on the Airpulse PK.
If you are not familiar with pressure
mapping please consult your doctor or physical therapist
to take a look at this page and offer their opinion.
