DESIGN 

• Pegasus utilizes either a "mini-drive" or a "maxi-drive" remotely located from the carriage.  
• The unit becomes one of the narrowest folded platforms in the industry.
• Bi-directional safety ramp sensors not only provide protection for the user of the Pegasus, but also for other people on the stairway.
• The Pegasus is manufactured with the highest safety factor currently offered in the North American market.  This design not only allows for structural superiority, but gives the user a higher level of comfort.
• Each unit is custom measured, ordered and installed to suit individual building requirements.  Flexible and universal design allows for straight and/or curve runs, with both inside (positive) and outside (negative) turns.
• The standard platform of the Pegasus is the largest in the industry.

SAFETY

• The Pegasus soft start variable speed operation gives the passenger a smooth desirable ride.  Various software programming (according to options and application) allows for the right combination of parameters to create the desired performance.
• Safety barrier arms and access ramps are mechanically locked and electrically monitored during travel.  The barrier arms are mechanically linked with the access ramps to allow for the arm to raise while the access ramp lowers.
• Every Pegasus has been fitted with manual emergency unlocking of the safety barrier arms to exit the platform if the need were to arise.

Ergonomically designed controls are placed between the handrail and the sidewall allowing for the control to be moved for optimal positioning and user comfort.

• DRIVE SYSTEM:  Solid State Microprocessor Variable Voltage Variable Frequency controlled motor provides slow spooling up and spooling down of motor with full power available from 0 to 29 fmp.

• PLATFORM FLOOR:  3/16" aluminum deck plate, non-skid surface, 32" x 48"

• PLATFORM SEAT:  Folding seat for non-wheelchair confined, semi-ambulatory occupants.

Safety Devices

• Ramps are sensitive to positive or negative movement when folded up and will stop car if pressure on or off platform moves the ramp

• Side guards of 6" protect occupant from rolling off

• Pressure sensitive pan under platform stops travel when contacting any obstruction

• Pressure sensitive edges of car frame stop travel when contacting any obstruction

• Emergency stop switch activates an audible and illuminated signal is generated
