Quickie M6 Wheelchair Item Number:  EIF1 The Quickie M6 wheelchair is a Bar iatric wheelchair with a weight capacity of 650 lbs. The Quickie M6 is modeled from the design of the Quickie 2. It is made of high strength steel and weighs approximately 53 pounds, 26" x 20" with pneumatics and hangers.

Folding frame. Easy storage and transport. Modular frame construction. Interchangeable frame components allow you to grow and change the chairs width and depth. Custom frame specifications. Maximum option choices allow chair to be built to the individual's specifications. Folding "lockout" cross-brace. Cross-brace locks to limit flex in the frame for more efficient propelling. Double cross-brace. Allows more strength for higher than normal weight capacity. Adjustable back height. Provides for optimal positioning of backrest for stability and scapular movement. Stabilizer bar locks out back frame to minimize flex for more efficient ride. Multiple footplates provide optimal positioning of lower extremities. Quick-release axle provides quick removal of rear wheels for portability. Adjustable Axle Plate Adjustments provide improved stability and propulsion of the chair. Allows minimal center of gravity adjustment for more efficient ride. Also makes it possible to adjust the rear frame height when its necessary to change the caster wheels..

·Does the Quickie M6 come in lower seat to floor heights?

No, not at this time but we are working on making them available in the future.

·        Can I get elevating leg rests on the Quickie M6?

Currently elevating leg rests are not available. However we are also working on making them available for the Quickie M6.

·        Are there any different types of wheels and axles that I can put on a Quickie M6?

Due to the chairs’ weight limit, 650 pounds, the axles and wheels are reinforced and thus unique to the Quickie M6.

·        Is the seat cushion on the Quickie M6 reinforced?

No the cushion is the same, two inch parapak cushion as the Quickie 2, except that it is made in larger sizes.

·        Are there any Jay cushions or backs on the market that will work with the Quickie M6?

Not at this time but we are testing larger sizes in the Jay line to eventually be used with the Quickie M6.

·        How quickly can I receive my Quickie M6?

  Once ordered the M6 can built and ready to be shipped in 5 days

         Frame Components

§       X‑tube, cross tube, assembly connects front and rear side frames.

§       Cross braces are built to order.

§       X-tube is 1” steel tubing

§       Front side frames are 1” steel tubing.

§       Regular size used for 18” to 19” sling depths.

§       Long size must be used for 20” to 22” sling depths.

§       One style of rear side frame is steel tubing.

    Backrest

§       One backrest tube with push handles only.

§       Adjustable in four heights.  The height is 1 1/8” increments.

§       Adjustments are made by raising and lowering the back posts in the rear frames.

§       Back posts are 7/8" aluminum tubing.

§       Reinforced upholstery – Seat sling has 2” nylon webbing sewn in and the back upholstery has double Dacron internally.

§       Standard with a stabilizer bar connecting push handles.

Hangers

§       Footrest hangers are removable and swing away from the chair. Available in 60°.

§       Round Footrest extension tubes attach footplates to the swing away hangers.

§       Footplate options are composites, aluminum footplates or angle adjustable.

§       Optional 70° and 80° front drilled hangers.

Casters

§       The caster fork inserts to the frame.

§       The casters are available in 5” soft roll and 8”.

§       8” x 2” casters are available in pneumatic or airless.

     Axle Plates and Axles (unique to the Quickie M6)

§       Standard with two positions.

§       Utilizes axle sleeve.

§       Standard with quick release axles. (5/8”thick)

§       Two horizontal axle plate adjustments at 1 ½” spacing (Center of Gravity)

§       Seat heights are adjustable when caster size is changed from 8” to 5” (or visa versa).  The axle plate can then be move to accommodate the change in height.

Armrests

§       Standard with dual post height adjustable armrests

§       Receiver mounts to rear side frame and uses a custom receiver/saddle in the front.

§       Height adjustable and removable.

§       Desk and full length arm pad.

Anti-tip Tubes

Anti-tips mount to axle plate using same receiver as Quickie 2. 

Rear Wheels

Spoke wheels only (rim size 24 x 1.25)

§       Pneumatics (24x2.125) (part number 384614)

§       Pneumatics with airless inserts (weight difference is 5 lbs.)

§       Aluminum handrims or black plastic coated handrims.

§       Both use tab mount attachments.
