Optional UE1E Right Hand Control
When the POWER switch at the right is in the up
position, the joystick controls driving the chair. When the POWER switch is
down, the joystick controls power seating and ECU functions. The
bidirectional SELECT switch chooses any of 6 programs (A-F) when the chair
is being driven. The SELECT switch chooses among RECLINE, TILT & ELEVATE,
LEGS, HEADREST, ECU1 or ECU2 when controlling power seating and ECU. Power
seating control is proportional and bidirectional. The BATTERY CONDITION
meter shows the battery condition from 1 to 10 and also doubles as an ERROR
CODE display. When the SELECT switch is operated, the display also shows the
drive program or function for 1 second. If a charger is plugged in, the
display shows a C for charger.

Emergency stop switch (reset) input. |

UE1E PSS RELAY BOX

Up charge for UE1E PSS relay box
(required for joystick control of power seating). This adds proportional
bi-directional joystick control of tilt, recline, seat elevate, power
legrests (DIPLR) and power headrest to UE1E electronics. |

to control the recline system in addition to joystick PSS control. This
toggle switch is usually placed near the rear of the left or right arm
to facilitate the return to the normal upright position when the back is
fully reclined. |

JS & TS TILT CTRL

Adds an additional toggle switch
to control the tilt system in addition to joystick PSS control. This
toggle switch is usually placed near the rear of the left or right arm
to facilitate the return to the normal upright position when the seat is
fully tilted. |

JS & TS T&R CTRL
|
Adds two additional toggle
switches to control the tilt and recline systems in addition to joystick
PSS control. Theses toggle switches are usually placed near the rear of
the left or right arm to facilitate the return to the normal upright
positions when the seat is fully tilted or the back is fully reclined. |

DX PROGRAMMABLE ELECTRONICS
| DX Programmable Electronics can be
installed on chairs when appropriate. They are typically used for
switch, sip & puff, and headrest array controlled chairs. ST3M&B are
usually required to achieve the necessary high torque at very slow
speeds. Top speed is limited to that appropriate for the user's
capabilities and the type of controls that are installed. Two to five
MPH is typical. Attendant controls, combined lighting and seating
actuator module, specialty controls remote (with LCD screen on gooseneck
mount), etc. are commonly installed. Contact the factory for additional
information. DX Electronics are not recommended for those who can
utilize our standard UE1D or UE1E electronics. They are also not
recommended for speeds above 6 MPH. |
ASL (Adaptive Switch Laboratories)
WHEELCHAIR CONTROL SYSTEMS

| ASL Wheelchair Control Systems can
be installed on chairs when appropriate. Headrest arrays (with or
without sip & puff and lip switches), proximity switches, fiber optic
arrays and beam switches can be used. DX electronics are normally
installed with ASL controls. ST3M&B are usually required to achieve the
necessary high torque at very slow speeds. Top speed is limited to that
appropriate for the user's capabilities and the type of controls that
are installed. Two to five MPH is typical. Attendant controls, combined
lighting and seating actuator module, specialty controls remote (with
LCD screen on gooseneck mount), etc. are commonly installed. Contact the
factory for additional information. DX Electronics are not recommended
for those who can utilize our standard UE1D or UE1E electronics. They
are also not recommended for speeds above 6 MPH. It is possible to use
an ASL headrest array in conjunction with our standard UE1D and UE1E
chin control systems to control a power seating actuator such as tilt or
recline, or to control a power chin control mount (to move the chin
control to and from the user's face). |
